Hello! Hello!

I am Judy, the founder of the Living and Healthy Lifestyles website. To give a bit of background about me, I have struggled with my weight my entire life. Honestly, I have just been on a gradual increase throughout the years. I would gain then plateau for a while then gain again. Once I reached 300 lbs., I knew I had to make some changes. Although I am still a work in progress, I have found some strategies that worked for me that I know will help you.

I have struggled with my weight for more than 40 years…

As a child, I was always bigger than almost everyone in my class. When you are young and you hear how much bigger you are than your friend, this translates to larger i.e. heavier. Looking back I guess they could have meant taller but that was not my self-image. I never felt thin, petite, or skinny. I always said I was “big-boned” and as I got older my weight continued to increase. Over the years I watched my mother go on yo-yo diets. I knew I did not want to do that, so I just kept gaining bit by bit until I was in my 50s and 300 lbs. I knew something had to change!

I knew I did not want to deal with the health issues that some of my other relatives were facing. So at first, I eliminated certain foods from my diet. That helped but I never got below 250 lbs. I plateaued and could not get any more weight off no matter what I knew I did. More exercise didn’t even help! So I reverted to my old habits and began to gain it all back. Then I started reading about intermittent fasting and a healthy keto diet.

I tried it out and this has been the ticket for me!! I have recently weighed in at 198 lbs. and even though I have not met my ideal weight yet. I know that with this plan I will not only reach my ideal weight but also do so healthily and sustainably.

Now my mission includes YOU!

I believe it is my purpose to help others reach their weight loss goals by sharing my stories and insights. I am passionate about sharing my journey, hoping to help others with their journey. As we get to know each other through this venue, I will give tidbits I have learned along the way.

My goal is to help you achieve your weight loss goals!

Ultimately it is my goal to help you become the healthiest version of yourself. In the process of getting healthy, you will lose weight, gain strength, and become a better YOU! To me, diet is what you eat every day. You can choose an unhealthy diet or a healthy diet. It is up to you! I will guide you through the path that works for me and help you choose a healthy diet so you too can reach your ideal weight. Whether you want to lose 5 lbs or 100 lbs I will help you reach your goals.
